Pedagogical innovations are important, deliberate changes in the school system introduced in order to improve its functionality and effectiveness. They are designed and implemented centrally by the state authorities in the form of the so-called educational reforms or by individuals. The history of education provides ample evidence that universal education has been subject to constant changes since the dawn of time, under the influence of various factors related to social development, scientific achievements, and changes in living conditions.
