Education of pupils of socialization-type foster care institutions as a form of social exclusion prevention

Pupils of socialization-type foster care institutions are children at risk of social exclusion and inheritance of poverty. After systemic changes, care and educational institution shave made it a challenge for their work to take care of the education of their children as a form of counteracting the social exclusion of these children. The article presents the results of research conducted in institutions in the Lublin Voivodeship, covering the developmental problems of pupils and various activities undertaken to implement compulsory schooling, acquire professional qualifications and prepare them for independent life.
