Employee motivation in the modern world is one of the basic and key elements of effective human resources management. Motivating employees brings effects for the company such as higher quality of work or increased productivity in the organization, which again affects the company’s perception on the labor market and its success and profit. One of the most important tools used to motivate employees is a periodic employee evaluation system. The article presents what factors influence the motivation of employees who are representatives of three different generations of working age, i.e. generations X, Y and Z, and what are the differences between them.
